Kimberly Komatsu is now Sally E. Koerner Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at University of North Carolina – Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. Her publications are listed here. We continue to collaborate on studying how biotic interactions affect community and ecosystem responses to global change factors. In this research, we aim to determine how symbiotic interactions impact species invasions. She is examining how rhizobial bacteria affect the invasion of legume species by studying the diversity of rhizobial strains associated with invasive vs native legumes and the amount of benefit derived from these symbioses.
