Bodega Reserve

We do much of our current field work on legume-rhizobium interactions at Bodega Reserve.  Bodega is one from among the amazing collection of research reserves managed by the UC Natural Reserve System.

Reciprocal transplants

We did a reciprocal transplant experiment by gluing seeds to toothpicks. Here’s a tiny Acmispon strigosus plant, native to the Bodega Dunes, struggling to reach sunlight from under the Mussel Point plant canopy.
